I was fishing from Grimsby 1967-1976 with the distant water fleet and recieved compensation under the rules of 12 weeks break in service. The goverment did not take into account fishermen went where the best earnings could be had, which meant moving companies and joining other ships, for sometimes only a couple of trips, but we were still involved in fishing the distant water grounds. Now I hope the goverment will not only compensate all of the distant water fishermen but repay our pension fund which every fisherman paid into which "got lost when fishing companies went to the wall"
