Not sure if it was connected with the commemoration, but a Spitfire did two low circuits over Cleethorpes this afternoon - unmistakeable sound of the engine had me rushing out into the garden in time to see it pass right overhead.

We must fight to make this an annual event. We have the BEST ARMED FORCES in the WORLD and they should be recognised for the Service they give for our benefit. I wish I was still there. Best job I have ever had!!

Well done! I have just watched the Armed Forces Day video and I am very impressed. There has been much coverage of this parade by larger organisational enterprises and this is the best I have seen. Keep up the good work. Regards John Best

As an exRAF man, I was proud to attend the Armed Forces Day parade with my youngest brother, also ex RAF, on 26 June 2010. The service and flypasts combined to make it a very moving day, but combined with an air of celebration of what is so great about the British Armed Forces.

June 27th is Armed Forces Day. Nunny TV joined local dignitaries, servicemen, veterans and young people aspiring for a career in the armed forces, to honour the brave men and women, past and present, who serve their country.
